A wonderful momentous and proud occasion for the Stoke Poges, Wexham & Fulmer Horticultural Society when we were honoured to be presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service by HRH Princess Alexandra, accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.
Also present were the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, the MP for Beaconsfield, four Deputy Lieutenants, the Mayor of Slough and Councillors representing the District and four Parish Councils.
Among the 85 Guests were pupils from The Stoke Poges School, Wexham Court Primary School and Fulmer Infant School who presented the Princess with gifts.
Pictured here with Her Royal Highness and the Lord Lieutenant are Jon Homan
(President Emeritus) and Ruth Rooley (Chairman).
A slideshow of photos of the afternoon presentation has been uploaded to the Gallery under About.

The Horticulture Society has been nominated to be one of the charities to receive money from the Co-op Community Fund from 27 OCTOBER 2019 to 24 OCTOBER 2020.    The money raised will go towards the cost of putting on the Annual Show.

The support of the Co-op has been invaluable for recent shows and helps to go towards the cost of the large marquee which is what makes the show unique and traditional.   A big thank you to all those who chose the Society as their charity and to the Co-op for their Community Fund for support during the funding period that has just ended.
